Meet Antonet, Kees Jan, and their three adorable children; Anna, Gijs, and Tessa. Without Antonet, I would have been absolutely lost when I was told that my Permanent Resident Card did not fulfill the demands to re-enter Canada. I slept for 1.5 week on their (super comfortable!!!) couch, she cooked some amazing meals (think carpaccio, lasagne, etc.) and I paid her back (somewhat) by doing this session and cooking her family pizza on the last night that I was there. And now I just found out that they are all coming to visit us in Canada in May, and I’m sure I will get the chance to capture them again at that time!

Do you have one of those friends in your life that you just really look up to, one of those real mother figures to their children that just seems to do everything right? Well, that would be Antonet for me! She has such patience with her stubborn little man, and with her very strong-willed little lady (the oldest one, Anna). And Tessa? Well, she is just a joy! She is like one of those babies everyone dreams of; so content and happy being on her own. I’m thankful that mine were like that too! She is definitely a little chunker, though! It will be so nice to see how much she’s grown and developed by May!

Such a proud big sister! Anna prayed for a long time for a little brother or sister, and now she has one of each!

You know what they say, “real men don’t love the most beautiful girl in the world, they love the girl who can make their life the most beautiful! And that is exactly what these two are for each other!!!

Oh, Gijs, Gijs, what a little monkey you are!! I can’t wait to see you again in May!!!
