Strolling through the water, arm in arm. It didn’t matter that there were other people, it didn’t matter that it was quite warm. All that mattered was that they were together at this Long Point engagement session.

LOOKING UP

If there were ever two people who found each other when they needed each other most, it would be Aaron and Marjolein. Together they led each other to what binds so many of our couples so tightly, their faith. They remind us of the saying, “God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. He plants His footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm.” They have now been able to weather storms together, all the while looking up to Him, and we couldn’t be more amazed to hear their entire story.

There is quite a height difference between these two, but in reality, they couldn’t be closer, even when they’re apart. Marjolein is just this tiny thing in his arms, but it makes her seem all the more special to him. From having a blast running into the waves of Lake Erie, to the more serious moments touching on subjects that matter a lot to them… Planning their wedding has been such a highlight for them, but planning their life together is even more exciting. It’s not too far off anymore…

ALMOST MR. & MRS.

These two are planning a beautiful intimate horse farm wedding, and we are super excited about some of the incredible plans that they’ve been putting together. We won’t spoil them, you’ll just have to see them when we blog their wedding in September. Right now we just want to share all the fun that was had at their Long Point engagement session. When Aaron proposed with this gorgeous custom ring, believe it or not, she took a few minutes to think the whole idea over. Truthfully, it is probably one of the biggest decisions in life, and taking a moment to ponder the weight of that might be funny in hindsight. But it’s not the worst idea in the world.

To say that there is not a shred of doubt left in Marjolein’s mind is an understatement. And the same can be said for Aaron. It became very obvious during the entire session that their decision to get married was not a light one, and while they are an absolute blast to spend time with, my favourite moments with them were when we could discuss the importance of marriage for one. We love learning how our couples are going through the pre-marriage phase; it’s taught us so much in our relationship! And we cannot wait to see what else we can learn from Aaron and Marjolein!
