We recently had the pleasure of photographing the Richardson/Fillmore family. They reached out by recommendation from a friend in our homeschooling group. The reason for the session? Kenna, their youngest, had pointed out how she wasn’t featured in many family photos on the wall. Her mom, Jennifer, decided it was time to change that! With Kenna’s request in mind, we scheduled the session for the end of August, on what turned out to be a perfect day for exploring the Hammond River, a place the family frequents for hiking and fishing. Come tag along on this Quispamsis family session!
The Richardson/Fillmore’s Quispamsis family session was all about capturing their natural dynamic. Keiran and Kai, the two oldest, were quick to mention they should have brought their fishing poles for the session. This would have made the day even more authentic for them. Even without the gear, they enjoyed some stone-skipping fun along the river. We all enjoyed the scenic route, fully embracing the laid-back experience.
Jarrad, a millwright, and Jennifer, a nurse who recently transitioned to working from home, are deeply connected to their kids’ lives. Keiran is eagerly awaiting his driver’s license. Kai, their second, juggles multiple sports, even heading to football practice after the session wrapped up. Kenna, the youngest, loves swimming and playing with Barbies, a special experience for Jennifer after having two boys first. Jennifer commented on how different it was to raise a daughter, but in the best way possible.
One thing that stood out during this Quispamsis family session was the bond these siblings share. Despite, or maybe because of their age differences, they rarely argue—a fact that surprised us at first, but made more and more sense as the session came along. The siblings have developed unique ways to relate to each other, showing extra patience and understanding. Their closeness made for some incredibly natural, heartwarming moments that were a joy to capture.
Overall, the session by the Hammond River was a perfect reflection of the Richardson-Fillmores’ love for each other and the simple joys they find in spending time together outdoors. These sessions really are a passion of ours, and we can’t wait to bring other families back to this gorgeous piece of God’s creation!
We captured another family session just across the bridge a few months ago. Check that out HERE.
