The class of 2018 of Rehoboth Christian School (where my husband teaches at) granted me the privilege of capturing their day out and about in Hamilton and their dinner and ceremony at the school in Norwich in the evening. This fun group of teens enjoyed their day out thoroughly and I had a blast spending it with them! Bertus and I had the joy of going on their Ottawa trip as well a few months ago as chaperones. That was a blast as well! Anyway, enough about me, let’s get to this graduation!
If you’re not familiar with RCS graduation day events, you’ll be excited to know that the whole day that was planned was a surprise for the students! They had absolutely no idea; not even till they arrived at the venue! Actually, I didn’t either. But that is a good thing, because while I’m good at keeping secrets now, I didn’t used to be, and I’d hate to make the same mistake! 😉 So after about an hour drive, we arrived at the Edgewater Manor Restaurant. Wow, what a gorgeous venue and an even more outdoor photography location! Sadly we didn’t have a whole lot of time after dinner, but now I’m getting ahead of myself.
The appetizers consisted of a choice between the most amazing Roasted Red Pepper Soup or a good portion of Caesar Salad. And when dinner came out, it was a super difficult choice between Salmon on Orzo Rice or Chicken Pasta with a Mushroom Sauce. If you ever have the chance to celebrate a big event in your life, I wholeheartedly recommend Edgewater Manor Restaurant!
After lunch, we had the chance for a few minutes of small group pictures, and then managed to get all 49 students in for some classic and fun shots to commemorate this day by!
After this, we went on a short drive, and the students were told that they were going to Escape Canada, located in Hamilton. There the students spent about almost two hours, half the time of which each half of the students took their time trying to make their way through in time. Sadly no-one made it, but that was partly due to the fact that we were fairly restricted for time.
Another delicious dinner was served at the school, where the parents of the graduation students and their teachers joined them as well.
The ceremony was a mixture of cautious relief that the last 13 years were behind them to optimistic excitement to see what the future holds for each of these students!
Class of 2018, congratulations once again, and I can’t wait to hear how your current plans for the future pan out someday!
You did a great job! Thank-you so much for capturing this special day for us!☺️
