What a stunning location, but even a nicer and more beautiful couple! Alexis and Clayton met with me a month ago, and within 10 minutes after their consultation, I received an email saying that they agreed that they had to have me! It’s always such an honour to capture any couple, but when they’re as excited as these two it means even more. They are so super down to earth and full of life, which is super obvious in their photos. Joining them was Alexis’ family dog, Buddy. The relationship between Alexis and Buddy is something that Clayton is super fond of, even though it means that Buddy isn’t always the most cooperative when Alexis isn’t around. But seeing as Buddy is twelve years old, it was so nice to be able to include him in their Spencer Gorge engagement session.
Alexis (who has a super cool job at Checkout 51, btw!) has the most beautiful smile. Clayton agrees with me on that! When looking for engagement session locations, Alexis and Clayton saw the bridge at Spencer Gorge Conservation Area and knew immediately that they had to have it there! I never mind travelling for destination engagement sessions (see a gorgeous Niagara on the Lake engagement session HERE). Upon my arrival, I was greeted excitedly by Buddy, a stunning Golden Retriever. However, as soon as he noticed the water, I was not the focus of his attention anymore. There are so many beautiful sights at this location, and Alexis and Clayton didn’t mind getting close every time.
The height difference between these two was something I had been looking forward to. She fit so perfectly in his arms! If ever there was a couple who were professionals at snuggling, it’s these two!!! It’s so fun when a couple just loves being close like Alexis and Clayton did. The weather was perfection for most of their session, and the little bit of a drizzle that passed over, passed quickly, thankfully. To say that these two were up for anything is an understatement. You’ll have to scroll down to see, they might have even gotten their feet wet!!!
Alexis and Clayton, thank you for such an amazing time. I truly enjoyed getting to know you, and I’m so excited for your late spring weather next year! I hope you look back at this Spencer Gorge engagement session often. And fondly, of course. Thank you for trusting me, I know your Ancaster Mill wedding is going to be even more fun than this session. Wishing you all the best in your wedding planning; enjoy it! It’s been ten years since I’ve done mine and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
