Glowy Oxford County Countryside Engagement Session | Kristen & André

Being part of the same church community for their whole lives, Kristen and André have known of each other for a long time. As he twirled her on an empty street underneath the willow trees, it was obvious that their “acquaintance-ship” has become so much more. It was an absolute pleasure to capture the love that these two have for each other. There was a lot of laughter at this Oxford County countryside engagement session, and it’s evident in these photos!

WORTH THE EFFORT

It took a few attempts at asking her on a date, but when Kristen finally accepted, André was thrilled. It was not long before she knew wholeheartedly that he was the one. Down-to-earth and genuine would be the two words that come to mind first when you meet this couple. Our consultation just days prior to their Oxford County countryside engagement session felt like friends getting together. Offering me a Tim Hortons iced coffee as they arrived at their first location, they couldn’t have been more excited to be able to spend time together and allow me to capture their happiness.

FOUR STOPS IN THE COUNTY

It was important to Kristen to have this session in the area where they fell in love. A wheat field was at the top of her wishlist, so we made it happen! But first, we started at a small abandoned building in the quaint town of Norwich. With the sun being high in the sky, we took advantage of a gorgeous little path between some trees, with the most magic of lighting. We even had an audience (a rabbit) for a little bit, understandably, because it’s just hard to keep your eyes off of these two having fun together. They were up for anything; twirling, dipping, snuggling (even in the heat), and everything in between. Kristen brought the cutest sign celebrating their upcoming wedding day next year, and it was perfect for some ring shots!

From there, we drove south a little way and found a gorgeous street that was lined on both sides by mature willow trees, providing the most amazing backdrop for some epic shots. After this, we found a little shed even further south, with ivy climbing up one side. Kristen and André didn’t even hesitate to get in the goldenrod; these are definitely my favourite photos of the evening. And, as promised, we ended up in the wheat fields, until the sun slid behind the horizon. It was such a pleasure to spend a few hours with these two, exploring the amazing spots that Oxford County has to offer.

PLANNING AN OXFORD COUNTY WEDDING

Yep, even their wedding will be in this beautiful county! What’s bound to be a beautiful May wedding day will end at the gorgeous Elm Hurst Inn grounds. Kristen and André, you two were such an honour and blessing to capture. I’m sure excited to see you again in May of next year. I hope you will have so much fun as you plan to start your lives together as husband and wife. If this Oxford County countryside engagement session was anything to go by, it’s going to be a day filled with love and laughter!
