As the late September sun cast its golden rays over the city of London, Katie and Sean only had eyes for each other on the balcony at this Goodwill Industries wedding.
Since this sweet couple’s ORIGINAL WEDDING, we’ve been lucky enough to help them put together this gorgeous London Goodwill Industries wedding. And while we would rather have had this day with them last year under normal circumstances, we were not too upset that we got to spend another incredible day with them this year. There are several things that have made these second celebrations even better. First up is the fact that we get to see the clients’ families and friends twice. Secondly, the fact that, in the case of Katie and Sean, they’ve already been married a year. This makes the second celebration, or a re-dedication as this was, feel a lot more relaxed. Not bad things if you ask us!
These two have based their lives in beautiful little Dorchester, so it was no surprise that the day started there. The beautiful handmade details, such as their invitations (put together by Katie’s grandmother), made that start even better. When the bride and groom were all ready, they had their official first look. And it didn’t disappoint. Even Sean said that he felt much more emotional than he’d expected. Truth be told, that didn’t surprise us. Just look at her!
For our last Ontario wedding, this was perfection. From their vows to the speeches during dinner, once again we realized that we only thought we knew Katie and Sean. And once again, we loved them even more after hearing all the speeches from their loved ones. Our favourite had to be the poem titled, “Oh, the shit that Sean has done”. No surprise that the entire room was in giggles for most of that.
It was hard saying goodbye to Katie and Sean at the end of the night. For us it wasn’t just saying goodbye to two dear friends. While we have weddings booked in Ontario for next year, we recognized the fact that it just won’t be the same. It was the end of a chapter for us, and we are beyond thankful that we could finish it on such a high note. That being said, we have one more wedding to blog, so make sure to keep your eye out on that one!
Katie and Sean, thank you for trusting us with capturing these amazing memories. Dianne knew that we all clicked from the moment we got to really get to know you at our initial consultation. We still remember that little phone pass under the table. Little did we know then, you already had the confidence in us then, and we are so grateful that we were able to make your wedding photography dreams come true. You sure made ours come true by being incredible clients, and now, great friends as well. Wishing you God’s blessing as you continue your marriage. Listening to your vows, we sure hope that all your dreams continue to come true!
