Planning a winter session

Meet Jaylin and David! An incredibly sweet couple that we met at church, they were willing to brave the cold with me on a beautifully sunny December day at this Sussex Winter Session. While planning for this session (which truthfully was so much fun!) we could not have imagined this gallery turning out the way it did. Jaylin was so open to outfit suggestions. When she sent a photo of this shacket, Dianne knew exactly what direction she wanted to take this session in. So, coming up with a gorgeous colour combination (as you can see below) wasn’t hard with that as a starting point! This is a great example of why we recommend that you as the woman find the perfect outfit first. After that we plan the rest around you. You’ll see exactly what we mean as you scroll through!

Finding a snowy trail

Our goal was to capture the absolute beauty of winter in Sussex, New Brunswick. While we didn’t have an exact location chosen, we had a general area in mind. We definitely didn’t end up in snowy hills as we thought. We got even luckier! While doing last-minute location scouting we found this immaculate trail on the side of the road. While it had been snowy for days, there was not a footstep in sight. What a gift!

Jaylin and David were up for some really fun and cozy poses, which was just perfect for the day. It was not super cold, and the gorgeous sun really helped keep things light and warm. These two loved to cuddle up, and were just proof that couples (and even families) who haven’t done any professional modelling are the easiest and most fun to work with.

Sussex in the snow

New Brunswick in general is an absolutely stunning province, but we do believe that we really lucked out here in the Sussex area! Jaylin and David’s session is just proof that God’s creation is absolutely magnificent. Oh, and that the cover of white snow in the midst of dark days can be absolute perfection. Jaylin and David, thank you for being incredible troopers during your Sussex winter session. These captures are just the epitome of winter. We really enjoyed spending time together and are so happy that you love your images as much as we do!!! xoxo
