When a family session feels more like a reunion, and photos are just icing on the cake, you know it’s been a good time! This Spyglass Hill family session with the Hall family was just that.
Last year, Andrea and Wesley Hall reached out to us with a request to capture their beautiful family. After postponing twice, we finally had the pleasure of getting together for a memorable Spyglass Hill Family Session. This stunning location provided the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of a close-knit family. And we know that sounds cliché, but in this case, it’s actually true!

The Hall family is a vibrant and loving group, blessed with two sons, one daughter, and seven wonderful grandchildren. Wesley, a man of unique talents, spends his time finding and restoring old tools—a hobby that doesn’t just repurpose old items but also honors the craftsmanship that is rare these days. Andrea, on the other hand, works at an optometrist’s office in Sussex. Together, they enjoy traveling and making the most of their time with their family.
Their daughter made the long journey from PEI with her husband and children just to be a part of this session. Her husband, with his photography knowledge, made for some engaging technical conversations, adding a fun twist to the day. Their elder son and his wife, who homeschool their children, were familiar faces, as we’ve crossed paths at various meetups and events. It was heartwarming to reconnect with them. The youngest son and his wife are parents to the most adorable little boy, who brought endless smiles in his tiny overalls. His beloved “Bunny” toy played a crucial role in keeping those smiles going throughout the Spyglass Hill Family Session.
When we arrived, everyone had already gathered at the portrait location and was looking their best. The boys were exploring and doing their best to find any creature they could get their hands on. The girls were a little more shy, but still enjoying the family time while the adults were dealing with some of the logistics behind the session and getting the last little ones dressed.
The day was picture-perfect. The views at Spyglass Hill were breathtaking. They’re a true representation of New Brunswick’s natural beauty, even though it’s often hard to capture that beauty on photos. Just days ago, we discovered that the property is private and now has signs posted, and we’re working on obtaining permission to return. It’s our policy to always ensure we have permission before using private property, as we believe in taking an honest approach in all we do.
THIS SESSION is another one that shares stunning New Brunswick views, and is worth checking out!
As we captured each of the grandchildren, every family member took part in bringing out genuine smiles. Grandma Andrea had a special talent for getting the younger ones to smile, and it was clear how much love and connection this family shares. This Spyglass Hill Family Session felt like a family reunion, and we were so honoured to be a part of it. This type of session is what we aim for, the memories are the main goal and the photos are just the icing on the cake!
