It wasn’t just the beautiful light as Jordan kissed Natasha during their first dance at this Princeton backyard wedding, and it wasn’t just the way he looked at her. It was everything from the little baby they’re expecting, the circle of friends and family surrounding them, and the new rings on their fingers.
You first met Natasha and Jordan at THEIR ENGAGEMENT SESSION almost two years ago. They had the coveted wedding date of June 20, 2020. We were all pretty devastated when the decision had to be made to postpone to this year. They’ve kept busy during that crazy year and have started making their house a home. They will be welcoming a baby boy earthside just over a month from now!
Natasha and Jordan have known each other since they started Kindergarten, and my goodness, has their lives taken some interesting turns to bring them to their beautiful Princeton wedding day. After dating and being engaged for a few years now, they now start their lives as husband and wife. And as mommy and daddy. From jumping from the bridge into the Nith river only a few years ago to their lives in a beautiful country property near Norwich. We just cannot wait to see what the future holds for them!
We couldn’t have imagined how well they would pull the entire event together when Jordan and Natasha mentioned that they were going to have a country backyard wedding. From pretty flowers and beautiful hairpiece to the Wiser’s bottles that were used as centerpieces along with lightbulbs with the table numbers; there were touches that meant much to each of them. Look no further than this wedding to start your search for inspiration if you are looking for a way to have a country wedding with an elegant feel. From the simplistic invitations with elements of wood, to the beautiful scenery at their portrait location… We just cannot put it into words. It was an absolute joy to photograph.
After having spent a fun morning with all her sweet friends, the moment had arrived. There were few dry eyes as Natasha was walked up the aisle by her mother. Jordan couldn’t help but beam as he saw his gorgeous bride walking up to meet him. The large wedding party couldn’t be anything but thrilled that this day had finally arrived! Jordan is the first man to officially join Natasha’s family, so there was a special cause for celebration. There were some empty places that were deeply felt on this important day. Touches, such as a beautiful charm on the bouquet, meant no one important was forgotten.
After all the things to make it official; kiss and signatures, etc., it was such a joy to just be part of this incredible family and their special day together. Relatives that hadn’t seen each other in over a year were thrilled to be able to hug and catch up. Jordan and Natasha must have been pinching themselves after a while. To have such a wonderful and joyous Princeton wedding day together in the midst of what’s been so uncertain was certainly a blessing to us. We can believe it was even more so for them! Family portraits always fly by when we make it fun.
Before we knew it, we were at a beautiful country estate, capturing what’s been our largest wedding party so far. And boy, did they make it fun! We love wedding parties of any size. However, when almost everyone knows each other and has for years, it can get very interesting. Each and every single wedding party member made their love for these two abundantly clear. We believe it is very evident in the photos, as well.
After a very quick visit from the bride and groom to her grandfather who was in a retirement home, dinner was served. We’ve said this before, but it bears repeating. We love a fine dining experience when we get one, but on a day such as this one, nothing hits the spot like a good burger or bun with pulled pork, great salads, and delectable cupcakes. The beautiful cake made by the groom’s aunt was almost as beautiful as it was delicious. All in all, a good country wedding always comes with the best food.
Jordan and Natasha’s first dance was sweet, and the best part came when all the guests joined in on the fun. It wasn’t long before it was time to say goodbye, and we had such a hard time. I think the longer we would have stayed, the tougher it would have become.
Families Hall-St.Clair and Korevaar, you made us feel so incredibly welcome and loved. We absolutely loved getting to know you and were honoured to be part of the wedding of your son/daughter/brother/sister. Jordan and Natasha, words fall short of how much capturing your beautiful Princeton wedding meant to us. We just hope you are thrilled with all the memories you made that we got to capture. We wish you so much love and joy in your future, and cannot wait to hear your baby news. Here’s hoping we’ll stay in touch; we know we’re going to miss you!
