It was a super cold November day, just after the first snow of the season had fallen. Emily and Dan laughed as they strolled along the Grand River at their Lorne Park, Brantford engagement session. I have to say that the way these two enjoyed their session even made me forget the freezing temperatures for a while. These two avid sports fans were up for absolutely anything, and I’m just so grateful that they made the long drive to meet me in Brantford.
Dan proposed on the evening that the Raptors won their big game, and Emily didn’t even hesitate. If any two people are made for each other, it’s these two. Dan was up for all the tickling. And Emily was willing to let him have his fun for these adorable pictures. Emily and Dan both love sports, albeit different ones, so there is always a game on at their house. The ring on Emily’s finger is proof that opposites attract; in this case, it’s cause for a lot of back and forth fun and games.
Walking beside the rushing Grand River, there was not much greenery left to enjoy. There had been a little snow, and we’ve had loads more since. But on Saturday, Emily and Dan were definitely the feature on the bank. The fresh air that comes with cooler temperatures just made the world feel clean and it was so obvious that a new season is upon us. This season of engagement for Emily and Dan is only going to last another six months, before I will see them again at their stunning La Salle Park wedding. I know they’re definitely enjoying it, and I’m just thrilled to think that the next time I see them it will be starting to warm up again. Then again, I think they are even more excited for warm weather than me, and that’s hard to imagine (for me).
We did manage to find a little bit of fall left at this Lorne Park Brantford engagement session on the side of Ballantyne Drive, and that made my photographer heart very happy! The bright fall colours were the perfect backdrop to these two sweet people. We might have had an audience for most of that time, but it made it all the funnier. And it made me work faster, which meant that all three of us could get out of the cold temperatures sooner.
SEE THIS EARLY FALL ENGAGEMENT SESSION when the leaves were still on all the trees!
Emily and Dan, thank you two so much for sticking with me on Saturday; I absolutely am in love with these photos of you two! It so totally fits the way I see you two. I can’t wait to get to know you even better over the next six months. Before we know it, your wedding day will be here and you’ll be dressed in white, Emily! And Dan, you’ll get to see her walking up the aisle. While I’m super excited for May, I’m sure that you two are even more so. It’s going to be an amazing day with your loved ones. And at the end of the day, you’ll be Mr. & Mrs. Eeeeek! Wishing you all the best as you prepare for that day; with each other by your side it’s sure going to be a competitive, yet fun, journey.
