LEAD WITH LOVE

We understand that different factors draw clients to us. It could be our unique photography style, the Velthove & Co. experience we offer, or sometimes it’s because of what people have heard about our lives as followers of Christ. We strive to work with clients of all beliefs and backgrounds, and we respect and honor each individual’s journey. Unfortunately, there have been instances where we faced discrimination and vendors refused to work with us due to our faith. However, this doesn’t change our love for them. In fact, it encourages us to pray harder and carry the love of Jesus even in challenging situations. We find comfort in John 15:18: “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.”

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Accountability is a significant aspect of our business. Not only are we accountable to ourselves and our clients, but we also know that God sees everything we do. We believe that our hearts and intentions matter the most. Regardless of our clients’ faith backgrounds, we all understand the importance of having good intentions. Two actions, even with opposite intentions, can still yield the same result. We strive to make our process as clear as possible from the beginning. We set expectations early on, keeping you informed throughout the entire process. Our commitment to parenthood may sometimes result in slight delays, but we assure you that we will communicate openly and transparently. Our goal is to meet your expectations and provide you with the best experience possible.

REIGN WITH RESPECT

As followers of Christ, we are called to love God above all else and love our neighbors as ourselves. Your happiness brings us joy. We find inspiration in Matthew 22:37-40: “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” We live by the golden rule mentioned in Matthew 7:12: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Our goal is to please our neighbors, as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 10:24 and Romans 15:2, with the intention of building each other up.

GROW WITH GRATITUDE

Gratitude is at the core of our hearts and business. We are thankful for the opportunities that God provides us every day. Never do we take you, your work, our interactions, or anything else for granted. We express our gratitude in various ways, such as thank-you gifts after your family session or providing additional image rights that you may not have expected. Our aim is to impact your family or business in a meaningful way.

TAILOR OUR TALENTS

Recognizing our strengths and weaknesses is essential. We strive to use every opportunity to strengthen our weaknesses and utilize our strengths to exceed your expectations. We mentioned earlier that there are certain shoots we kindly decline. While we continuously work on growth and improvement, we also recognize when certain areas are outside our expertise. In those cases, we evaluate what God wants us to do and how we can make it happen. We prioritize three things in order: 1) What does the Bible/God say about the circumstance? 2) How can learning new skills benefit our clients and impact their business? 3) Will the time required to learn these skills align with the needs of our family and personal lives?
