Our journey with the Power family began when Lizz reached out to us during late summer. At that time, our newest addition to the family, baby Lindsey, was just shy of two weeks old. Their story shows both their resilience and heartache. In March, Lizz’s father was diagnosed with cancer. He courageously fought the battle. There was a moment of hope when they received news of his remission. He was denied a bone marrow transplant that would have meant the world to him. This dashed any hope that the family had.

Faced with this challenging reality, Lizz and her family made a poignant decision. They decided to capture precious memories during a period of relative tranquility and “normalcy” in their lives. Initially, there were natural concerns that these photographs might stir sadness. The result: every participant in the session was overwhelmed with joy at the beautiful outcome. There were no regrets, only cherished moments that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Capturing Resilience and Hope at their Family Session

Lizz, a skilled makeup artist with a deep understanding of color theory. She also drew inspiration from our comprehensive style guide. We picked apples from the trees, indulging in the crunchiest, juiciest, and most delicious apples we’ve ever tasted.
